The counseling program and services at School in the Woods follow the ASCA School Counseling model. The Special Education teacher is housed at Edith Wolford Elementary School and visits School in the Woods on a regular basis.

Using input from teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, the counselor creates lessons that are appropriate and timely to the needs of the students. The counselor also oversees 504 plans, provides counseling for students in crises, and provides community resources for further support to parents and students, as needed.

If you have questions or concerns, please email the counselor.

RULER

RULER is a program primarily for elementary school students. It supports relationships and wellbeing and teaches students how to identify, understand and manage emotions while expressing concern and compassion.
