The Naturalist Fund
The School in the Woods Naturalist Fund graciously accepts donations from naturalist alumni, their extended families, and people from our larger SITW community who understand the lifelong impact SITW has on children. This fund has been established to support larger projects such as a more permanent greenhouse, other building/campus modifications as well as academic materials for SITW.
Turkey Trot Fundraiser
The Turkey Trot is an annual fun run in which current-year naturalists run/walk on a course with checkpoints through the woods to raise funds for School in the Woods (SITW). Naturalists gather pledges from family and friends who choose to sponsor them for the fun run. The Turkey Trot typically occurs in November. Each year SITW teachers and staff decide what the current year’s needs of the school are to put the funds toward.
How to Donate
Please share the Naturalist Fund link and/or the Turkey Trot link with anyone who might want to support SITW in these ways.
We also accept cash or checks. Please make checks payable to School in the Woods, and please indicate in the memo to which fund you are contributing. Donations can either be brought into the school’s front office or be mailed to:
